Heparin tubes are used for blood collection for clinical plasma, emergency biochemistry, blood rheology, and other tests. Due to their minimal effect on blood components and no effect on red blood cell volume, they do not cause hemolysis. They also feature rapid plasma separation, a wide operating temperature range, and high serum index compatibility. An anticoagulant, heparin activates fibrinolysin and binds to thromboplastin, achieving a dynamic equilibrium between fibrinogen and fibrin, freeing fibrin filaments during testing
